--- I am currently only working with clients online ---

My name is Jack Rubin. As a licensed therapist, I offer a mix of heart-centered, integrative, and somatic therapy for those looking for emotional support, deeper insight, healing from trauma and pain, personal growth, or self-empowerment.

I know what it’s like to feel overwhelmed, stuck, trapped, and alone. I also know the relief and freedom that comes with healing.

I founded my practice to support people in finding healing for themselves.

This site is here to help you get to know me better, get a sense of how I practice, and learn about my specialty services. If you have questions or would like to schedule a free consultation, you can contact me below.

Counseling Modalities/Therapies I draw from:

Internal Family Systems (IFS):

Internal Family Systems, developed by Dr. Richard Schwartz, is an evidence-based therapy that focuses on learning to listen to the different parts of our psyche. Often these different parts of ourselves are in conflict with one another due to wounds from past experiences. This can lead to any number of symptoms - anxiety, depression, deep-seated trauma, feelings of an internal battle within ourselves, etc. When using IFS, we discover that these parts of ourselves contain insight on how to heal when we learn to listen to them. This can lead to the passing of our symptoms and a greater sense of unity within.

Somatic Experiencing® Trauma Work (SE®):

Somatic Experiencing® is a body-oriented approach to healing trauma and other stress-related symptoms. Developed by Dr. Peter Levine, SE® focuses on helping us to release trauma that has gotten stuck in the body. When these traumatic energies are able to let go, we are able to heal and come back into equilibrium. The experiential process focuses on safety and going at a pace that is not overwhelming to the individual.

Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC):

Most of us have a tendency to be hard on ourselves. Mindful Self-Compassion is an empirically-supported modality designed to help us find the inner strength of self-compassion for personal growth and self-acceptance. Developed by doctors Kristin Neff and Christopher Germer, MSC focuses on helping us learn to respond to difficult moments in our lives with self-kindness, care, and understanding. Self-compassion helps us to more fully embrace being human - and more fully embrace being ourselves.
